We had to miss Christmas beer for more than 35 years, but in 2002 the tradition was restored and we brew the Gouden Carolus Christmas again. The beer is characterized as a strong, characterful dark brown beer with 10,5% alc.vol. This beer is already brewed in August and then rests for several months to achieve an optimal taste balance. The addition of 6 exceptional spices and the use of 3 types of hops make this Christmas beer in a class of its own, a world-class beer.
